Bucks Acquire Jrue Holiday From Pelicans For George Hill, Eric Bledsoe, Draft Picks

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to acquire Jrue Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans for George Hill, Eric Bledsoe and three future first round picks and two pick swaps. In terms of pick compensation, the deal is similar to what the Pelicans received from the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis.

Holiday is eligible for free agency in 2021.

Milwaukee entered the offseason determined to strengthen the supporting cast of Giannis Antetokounmpo. 

Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets had also been in talks with the Pelicans on Holiday.

Bobby Marks of ESPN reports that the Pelicans will receive the following pick compensation:

2020: Indiana’s first round pick

2024: Right to swap

2025: First round pick unprotected

2026: Right to swap

2027: First round pick unprotected
