golden state warriors vs boston celtics

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) Stephen Curry swished a high-arcing 3-pointer through the net in front of his crazy, celebrating Warriors teammates on the bench, much like the ones he practices over and over during his extended pre-game routine.

Night-night, certainly, as the celebrity gestured with both palms at the side of his face as he bolted the opposite way.

"It was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow," said rookie Tracye Jackson-Davis, who blocked Boston star Jaylen Brown in overtime and recorded his first double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds as the Warriors defeated the Celtics 132-126 on Tuesday night.

Curry took a skip ball from Chris Paul, who had grabbed an offensive rebound, and hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds remaining in overtime to finish with 33 points, and Golden State made enough key plays and stops to end Boston's five-game winning run.

Jonathan Kuminga's steal and uncontested slam put the Warriors up in overtime, and he then collected a vital rebound on the other end that led to another scoring play, while Boston squandered important chances when it counted most.

With 2:18 left in regulation, Klay Thompson sank a tying 3-pointer, but Derrick White replied from deep before Curry connected from the top to tie the game at 121. The Celtics subsequently missed four shots on their following possession and again before the regulation buzzer rang.
