Knicks, Nets Help Donate 1 Million Masks To Essential Workers

The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets collaborated with the NBA and Huang Ping, China\'s counsel general, to donate 1 million surgical masks to essential workers across New York City.

Nets owner Joseph Tsai and his wife, Clara Wu Tsai, are also donating 1,000 ventilators.

\"This is a big deal and it\'s going to make a significant difference for us,\" said New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The Alibaba Group, which Tsai co-founded, has already donated 1 million masks and 500,000 testing kits to the city.

\"The whole Alibaba Group has really been helping with all the New York City hospitals, sourcing these certified and high quality PPEs. I know they are having conversations with all these government agencies. We all know that he is behind this,\" said Nets general manager Sean Marks on Wednesday.
