Ron Adams Hopes To Remain With Warriors Next Season

Ron Adams would like to return to the Golden State Warriors next season. Adams signed a one-year contract last offseason in which he stepped away from coaching on the bench and took on more player development responsibilities. Jarron Collins assumed more of the in-game defensive leadership.

“It was fairly difficult in some ways,\" said Adams. I think when you’re used to being in the fight and you’re not in the fight, that adjustment is a hard one. But having said that, I enjoyed the year. We have a lot of young coaches. I try to plug in and help them. And especially plug into what Jarron’s doing defensively and try to help him. Change is difficult, especially when you’ve done the same thing for a number of years, as I have. But it was probably necessary. We have a lot of good young coaches; they need to develop. And hopefully, I can be a part of that process. But yes, not being in the fight was difficult.”

Adams was asked if he would like to return to the Warriors in 20-21.

“I would like to come back, yeah,” Adams said. “I have no reason not to. I want to be involved.”
