Andre Drummond Likely To Opt-In For Next Season, Cavs Also Willing To Use Mid-Level Exception
Andre Drummond is likely to exercise his player option for next season worth $28.7 million, sources told Chris Fedor of cleveland.com.
Drummond is not currently attending the Cavs\' voluntary workouts, though he remains engaged with the team.
Fedor adds that while the Cavs want to stay out of the luxury tax, they are willing to use their mid-level exception if a player is deemed \"worth it.\"
The MLE will be worth $8-$10 million depending on where the cap falls for next season.
Koby Altman had also expressed interest in re-signing Tristan Thompson depending on cap space.
