Suns Confirm 5-10 Percent Furloughs, 20 Percent Pay Cuts Of All Other Employees
The Phoenix Suns confirmed it will enact furloughs and pay cuts with its employees.
uns Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Dean Stoyer, told The Republic there is a \"5-10% furlough and pay cuts across the board\" in the franchise.
\"(There\'s) serious economic downturn across the sports and entertainment industry,\" Stoyer told The Republic. \"...Pay cuts across the board and furloughs indefinite till we see more positive environment on the horizon.\"
There will be 20 percent pay cuts within all departments.
The cuts follow the unveiling of a $45 million practice facility and trading for Chris Paul, who is owed $41.3 million this season and $44.2 million next season.
Earlier this summer, the Suns laid off about 30 employees on the heels of selling their G-League team, Northern Arizona Suns.
