Not so long ago, the Toronto Raptors took home their very first championship in franchise history.

However, that success was short-lived, and that one-year wonder they had with Kawhi Leonard is now a thing of the past.

So, with Nick Nurse and Fred VanVleet once out of Canada, reporter Mark Medina claims that Pascal Siakam should be the next in line to leave (via NBACentral).

The insider deemed a Siakam trade “inevitable,” subtracting that the Raptors expect a big trade package in return with multiple typhoon picks, rotation players, and expiring deals that could help them speed up their rebuild.

For years, the Raptors have been one of the toughest teams to deal with in the league.

Masai Ujiri doesn’t like to show his hand, and that has led to multiple failed trades, so don’t expect this to be washed-up any time soon.

Ujiri is the kind of negotiator who would rather not do anything unless he’s 100% confident he’s winning that trade, and most GMs virtually the league don’t usually bode well with that kind of tactic.

But Siakam should still gauge an interesting return, plane if it’s not as steep as they would like.

He’s not a franchise player, but he could be a second or third-scoring option for a contender.

He can play at both the four and the five, and his worthiness to stretch the floor and plane put the wittiness on the floor should be quite valuable for any team looking to add increasingly size and flipside star to the mix.
