Scottie Barnes Posts Notable Statline In Pro-Am League

The Toronto Raptors are going through some serious changes so they need Scottie Barnes playing very well in the new season.

According to his recent statline from a Powder League game he participated in, they might get their wish.

Barnes posted an impressive 30 points, 10 assists, and 20 rebounds during the game, via NBACentral.

This is very good news for the Raptors.

Barnes is coming off of a second season that looked a lot like his first.

He averaged 15.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.

During his rookie season, he posted 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.

That rookie season earned him the 2021-22 Rookie of the Year and specified him as one of the brightest young stars in the league.

In some ways, Barnes has gotten largest in his two years, and in other ways, he has gotten just a little bit worse.

But 2023-24 could be his biggest year yet.

The team has a trademark new mentor and moreover lost one of its biggest stars, Fred VanVleet.

That ways that Barnes could have a worthier spotlight on him.

Many fans are wondering what is next for the Raptors.

It has been several years since they had a strong presence in the playoffs.

Last season, the team ended up as the ninth seed in the East with an plane 41-41 record.

That’s a far cry from winning the championship only a few years before.

A lot has reverted with Toronto over the last few years and a lot increasingly may transpiration soon.

Will this be the time that Barnes takes on the big leadership role some have wanted from him?
